The film series presents the directorial debut of the Iranian-German animation artist
“Teheran Taboo” (2017, 96 min.). The animated film was premiered in Cannes in 2017.

TEHERAN TABU is about three self-confident women and a young musician whose lives cross in the schizophrenic world of the Iranian capital Tehran. Sex, corruption, drugs and prostitution go hand in hand with strict religious laws in this seething metropolis. The circumvention of prohibitions becomes an everyday sport and the breaking of taboos an individual self-realization.
