Futurologist Björn Theis will give us an insight into the foresight perspective on future food scenarios in our Science Kitchen. After the talk refreshments will be served.

Björn Theis is Vice President & Head of Foresight at Evonik. He is a member of the management team of Creavis, the strategic innovation unit and business incubator of Evonik AG. He holds a Master’s degree in Ethnology, Philosophy and English Studies from the University of Cologne. Currently, he works on the project “GameChanger 2035”, which focuses on disruptive developments and technologies that have the potential to permanently change the rules of existing societies, industries and markets. Björn Theis teaches foresight at various universities, is founder of the Conjectural Futures Network, and a member of the Future Circle of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

Science Kitchen is an open format of lectures/talks and discussions curious to examine and contemplate facts and fictions, dedicated to current topics and research in art, science and technology. Always interested in inviting dialogue, following the idea of the kitchen as a place of exchange, often in connection with some culinary treats or experiments.
